Story of munna
In the quaint town of Odisha, a love story unfolded, giving birth to an enduring legacy – Mukta Travels.
Munna, who was loved and adored by all dreamt of pioneering the private travel industry with an endeavor named Mukta Travels. If you are mesmerized by the name Mukta, the travel agency was started with the name of the heroine of our story, Mukta Sutar, for whom Munna’s love would transcend any limit of the known world.
Munna, a visionary, embarked on this extraordinary journey in 1989, inspired by his love for Mukta. What started as a tribute to their bond blossomed into Odisha's first travel agency.

Through his ingenious and witty decision making, he was able to build a strong sense of networking with individuals from across the society.

The travel agency not only became a household name but also an integral part of colleges, institutions, and government organizations in early 2000, establishing travel awareness throughout the state.

By 2000-2005, Mukta Travels became synonymous with success. Munna's dedication transformed it into a thriving business with a fleet of eight buses, over 20-25 cars, and a widespread presence.
Munna's legacy was unmatchable.
The demise
However, destiny took an unexpected turn in 2005 when Munna, the visionary behind Mukta Travels, departed. As a young seventh-grader, his son Vicky, faced the challenge of continuing his father's legacy. The stable period that followed couldn't overshadow the determination to resurrect Mukta Travels.
The re-establishment
In 2023, armed with resilience and passion, Munna's son Sushovan Sahoo, or fondly known as Vicky, breathed new life into Mukta Travels.
Today, the agency has evolved, offering a comprehensive range of services. From booking flight and railway tickets to providing cars, buses, camping services, and even forex services – Mukta Travels is a one-stop destination for all travel enthusiasts.
